The South Lakes Wild Animal Park is a zoo located within the borders
of the British town of Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria, England (however it
is most usually associated with the nearby larger town of
Barrow-in-Furness by people who are not familiar to the area).
South Lakes Wild Animal Park was started back in 1993 by David Gill
who is an animal nutritionist. Now, over a decade later there are many
different species of animal including giraffes, bats and rhinos.

I love going to the Lakes for a holiday.

only zoo in Britain to contain both Amur and Sumatran Tigers,

pulling apart a 30ft Christmas tree that has been placed their
enclosure.

the world and they are kept in an environment as close to their
natural habitat as possible. The animals at the park are well kept and
are happy in their surroundings.
South Lakes Wild Animal Park is a center for conservation, breeding,
and education. It has more than one hundred species of animals located
in the park according to which continent they come from. Some examples
are white rhinoceros, giraffe, and cheetah from Africa.

Me and my other half went to South Lakes Wild Animal Park in July 2008
and loved it. We found a BOGOF voucher from
www.monsterfamilyfun.co.uk/telegraph so we paid just £10.50 between us
to get in. A guide book was only £2 and well worth the money.
