The Shymkent Zoo is the state zoo of the city Shymkent in Kazakhstan.
It is one of the largest and oldest zoological parks in the country.
From the total zoo's area of 133.44 acres (0.5400 km2), under an
exposition 84.02 acres (340,000 m2).
In 1980 Shymkent zoo had 264 species and 2000 animals in general,
whereas by now it has decreased to 159 and 1287 respectively.
Nevertheless, sometimes visitors themselves unintentionally put lives
of animals in danger.
