Perth Zoo has bred more than 300
Chuditch for release in the last decade. Since the breeding program
began, the status of Chuditch has been modified from Endangered to
Vulnerable, this breeding program is now completed.
Perth Zoo has been breeding Numbats for release into the wild since
1986. By early 2007, 110 Numbats had been provided by the Zoo for
release into protected habitat.
Perth Zoo bred Dibblers were used to establish a new
population on Escape Island in Jurien Bay. The focus has now changed
to breeding dibblers from Fitzgerald River National Park for release
on the mainland.
107 years later, the Perth Zoo is now a place where the community can
come together and learn about animals and nature, and how we can all
make a difference in preserving them, and their fragile way of life.

I visited this zoo when I first moved to Perth to live and
We made Perth zoo our fist stop on our Aussie adventure and we loved
it. The zoo is extremely easy to get around, the glass fronted
enclosures mean you get perfect views of the animals and excelent
pictures without bars criss crossing all over.

Being on a vacation in Perth with my 2 kids and 3 male friends, I was
a bit
Zoo Mar 30, 2008 You can go to Perth Zoo for 18 dollars.
You can walk around the zoo for about 3 hours and you will see all
Australian wildlife by doing a 'bushwalk'. You can also see the asian
and african part of the zoo.

The Perth Zoo has three new arrivals and they recently went on
display. Meerkats have a unique form of communication, at the center
of which is the sentinel guard. At least one individual stands guard
while the group is away from the den.
Perth Zoo is a major tourist attraction in Perth with a huge
collection of some of the most extraordinary animals on this earth.
Perth Zoo has remained open all 365
days a year since its inception. Some of the main attractions in the
zoo are the sections called African Savanna, Asian Rainforest Zone,
Australian Walkabout, World of Birds and Nocturnal House.
The Perth Zoo has also taken up
the water, energy and waste issue seriously by setting up eight bores,
waste composites and solar power electric fences.

Perth Zoo has had an excellent record of breeding with Rothschilds
Giraffe. Their original male, Anthony, sired five, and possibly six,
offspring by the two females, Misha and Marama. He has since been
retired to Victorias Open Range Zoo at Werribee.

PERTH Zoo has announced the birth of one of the world's most
critically endangered animals - a Sumatran Orang-utan.
Perth Zoo’s Curator of Exotics, Leif Cocks, said the Zoo’s newest
addition, young Nyaru, was born on October 20 to 14-year-old first
time mother Negara. Nyaru weighed just under 2kg at birth.
Perth Zoo is a world leader in breeding Sumatran Orang-utans and is
part of a regional breeding program for this most threatened species.

PERTH Zoo has announced the birth of one of the world’s most
critically endangered animals - a Sumatran Orangutan.
Fifteen-year-old Perth Zoo-born Temara was released into the Bukit
Tigapuluh National Park in Sumatra in November 2006 as part of an
international effort to re-establish a population of this critically
endangered species in the national park.
