collection of animals with a focus on Kangaroo Island wildlife.

for its birds but it also features kangaroos which you can feed,
koalas, emus, crocodiles and more.

park has over fifty aviaries with a collection of native birds and
numerous other birds found in Kangaroo Island's wilderness areas.

and personal with the locals.
But the only person who feeds the Wedge Tail Eagles is Shirley.

Parndana Wildlife Park in the centre of the island. I hurry past cages
of corellas and cockatoos and barely glance at the albino kangaroos.
The Parndana Wildlife Park, where I met this pelican, is one of the
popular stops on the tour bus route,and only a few kilometres from the
town.
We stopped here for about an hour, and were the only visitors. (This
was in mid-November).
