Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, a division of Metro Parks Tacoma,is
located in the foothills of Mt. Rainier 6 miles north of the town of
Eatonville. Covering nearly a square mile, Trek displays all of the
major North American native animals in very natural exhibits.

At Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Eatonville, less than a half-hour
from Mount Rainier National Park, naturalist-guided tram tours bring
visitors face-to-face with free-roaming bison, mountain goats, caribou
and more than 200 other native Northwest animals.
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is the result of Dr. David and Connie
Hellyers' vision. They began buying the land in 1937 when it was
beginning to recover from a fire and extensive logging.
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is dedicated to conservation, education,
recreation by displaying, interpreting and researching native
Northwest wildlife and their natural habitats.
