Minsk Zoo is located in a southeast part of Minsk near Svislach River.
The Minsk Zoo was established in 1984 by nature amateurs, which were
employees of the Minsk Automobile Plant.
Minsk Zoo has good transport
connections with other parts of Minsk. Underground station
“Avtozavodskaya” is located at distance of 1.5 km from the entrance.
A ten-month-old tigress, Alisa, kept staff of the Minsk Zoo much on
tenterhooks when they discovered in the morning that the cage of the
young animal was empty.

Minsk Zoo works the year round!
In summer - 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
In winter - 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Minsk Zoo to be substantially upgraded in the nearest time.
The territory will be enlarged. In accordance to the project a new
exotarium, big pool for sea animals and fish will be built.
Daily Minsk Zoo is visited by up to 4 000 people. The
attendance is expected to increase after the reconstruction.
