Little river zoo started off as just generosity for strange animals
(such as a blind kangaroo, abandoned animals, or monkeys that were
used in lab experiments) it soon became a wonderful place filled with
exotic animals and very enjoyable stories.
The LIttle River Zoo is a fabulous place for family get togethers, or
just a day out with the kids. With many great exhibits, they keep the
childrens' attention, and they have the opportunity to learn while
they're having time.
Little River Zoo was highly recommended by several locals during my
stay at Lake Thunderbird. I've learned not to ignore such advice and I
was very glad I visited and had a chance to meet the very special
residents and attendants of this unique facility.
NORMAN — Since Little River Zoo opened to the public in 1996, it has
taught thousands of children and adults about compassion, hope and
respect through lessons offered by the animals. Now, those life
lessons are in jeopardy unless the community helps out.
