The Lehigh Valley Zoo is getting a $525,000 influx of funds to aid in
its bid to stay open.
Lehigh County Commissioners voted Wednesday night to provide that
amount plus $325,000 to continue operating the zoo over the next five
years.
ALMOST ALL of the animals at the Lehigh Valley Zoo are visible in
their exhibits all year long. In our off-season, some amenities are
unavailable.
The Lehigh Valley Zoo is open seven days a week year-round.
The Lehigh Valley Zoo, located on the 1,200-acre Trexler Nature
Preserve in Schnecksville, is a 29-acre AZA-accredited not-for-profit
zoo that is home to approximately 55 different species of wildlife
from around the world.
