La Aurora Zoo is another chief attraction in Guatemala city,
especially for children. Nevertheless, grown ups can hugely enjoy
themselves here as well while visiting a wide range of animals.
La Aurora Zoo is opened to public every week from Tuesdays to Mondays,
from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon.

La Aurora Zoo was founded in 1924 during the presidency of Jose Maria
Orellana. It is famous for its Tea House in the middle of its English
Park. Currently, the zoo has 753 animals, 143 different species.
being transferred to La Aurora Zoo in 1998. She arrived at the
Philadelphia Zoo on May 30, 2007. She is yellow with black rosettes.
