been housing it since that time. This bear was used for TV commercials
and other media purposes by an unaccredited wildlife facility.

the experts at Spineless Wonders and is presented by WBIR-TV 10.
Knoxville Zoo is located off exit 392A from Interstate 40 West and is
open every day except Christmas Day.

— Guests will take pleasure in the chance to observe the beautiful
mystery of swallowtails, fritillaries, and other new butterfly species
recently released in Knoxville
the Knoxville Zoo’s chimpanzee troupe, has died. He would have been 18
next month.
Zookeepers noticed the usually active ape was lethargic and often
resting on his belly earlier this week.
The Knoxville Zoo has been known by many names in its time. It’s been
Birthday Park, the Birthday Park Zoo, Knoxville Zoological Park, the
Municipal Zoo or just the Knoxville Zoo.
The Knoxville Zoo opened as the Birthday Park Zoo in 1948 at Chilhowee
Park, when an American alligator was left on the premises. Other
animals followed, including pigs, lions, monkeys and groundhogs.
zoo’s 53 acres are located 3500 Knoxville Zoo Drive on the eastern
side of the city, conveniently situated off exit 392A from Interstate
40. The zoo is open 364 days a year, closed only on Christmas.

only day Knoxville Zoo is closed is Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
Next Day Free After 3:00- If you enter the zoo after 3:00 p.m., the
next day's visit is free.
