The Denver zoo is pretty average as zoos go. They have an impressive
variety of primates, which I love. Their big cat cages are woefully
inadequate for animals who, in the wild, run miles and miles over the
course of a day.
DO: Go to the Denver Zoo in the middle of the week, especially if it's
not during summer or spring break for the local schools.
DO NOT: Go there on a free day. You have been warned.
The Denver Zoo is only average. Not bad, just not
special. Visit some the nation's top zoos (Columbus, Lincoln Park, San
Diego, Bronx, National, etc, etc, et al) and you'll see what I mean. I
don't bother bringing out of town guests here.
pleasure that comes from viewing the animals at the Denver Zoo is
matched only by watching the pleasure on the faces of my children and
grandchildren as they view the animals. The Denver Zoo offers many
special events, as well as special membership pricing.
Even though its plot is small the Denver Zoo is world class. The
reptile and bird collections are my favorite. My daughter is partial
to the orangatans and penguins. We visit often.

story times, wildlife shows, and education programs.
The Denver zoo is located on 80 acres (32ha) in the northeastern area
of Denver. The have 4000 animals representing 750 species.
did not like about the Denver Zoo was the fact that the paths were
VERY confusing. Once you take a path, it circles into another, then
another, then another. We got turned around so many times, it wasn't
even funny.

The Denver Zoo is a nice size but not too spread out. The exhibits are
one after another but not in a bad way. The sidewalks are wide and
there are benches everywhere. It feels like you're closer to the
animals than you actually are.
We had a wonderful time at the Denver Zoo! The zoo is neat, clean, and
the layout of exhibits are well done.

The Denver Zoo is great. Very easy to navigate and affordable. You can
easily go for 2 hours. Worth it to go with the family membership! Kids
are outside. You bring your own food. The Christmas lights are great.
The Denver zoo had a huge selection of animals. Whatever you are going
there to see, they likely have it (except for pandas!). During the
colder months, many of the warm weather animals are still viewable in
indoor exhibits.

in large part to a solid commitment to harnessing today's most cutting
edge technology.
Needless to say, the Denver Zoo's innovative use of technology to
enhance its exhibits and visitor experiences has received a
significant amount of attention. Other zoos from across the country
are interested in how this is all happening. The cost. The overall
effort involved.
the Denver Zoo appears to possess many of the answers. "People in this
