New
Coyote Point Museum was remodeled a few? years back and the animals
are now housed in a more natural settings instead of the old wood
place they use to be. I really liked they new exhibits they have
there.
The Coyote Point Museum is located in the Coyote Point park. My family
and I used to love going there with our friends to have a nice
picknick and BBQ. The museum is a great place for little kids.
The Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education is the highpoint
of the park and one of the Bay Area's major museums. It was the first
ecology museum in America. The multi-level museum features exhibits on
the six major ecosystems in the Bay Area.
Coyote Point Environmental Museum The Coyote Point Museum for
Environmental Education sits on top of the hill at the point, with
views of the Bay out the picture windows. Next to the large
wood-paneled musuem building is the 1-acre Wildlife Habitats, with
walk-through environments and gardens.
Mural at Coyote Point Museum Inside, the museum is built on several
levels. The main Environmental Hall covers 8,000 square feet, with
informative and interactive exhibits on nature and the environment.

Coyote Point Museum, which encompasses a lovely forested park with
picnic areas and a small playground, hummingbird and butterfly
gardens, exhibit hall and wildlife habitats, sits on a hill
overlooking San Francisco Bay.
Coyote Point Museum was at its best on September 13 when we visited.
The weather was warm and sunny, but slightly breezy. The sailboats
were out in force on the bay and the airplanes clearly visible over
it.

surrounding the museum are a nationally known wildlife center, a
walk-in aviary, and several beautifully manicured gardens.

increase admission fees for entry to the Coyote Point Museum.
Since 1978, the non-profit Coyote Point Museum Association
(Association) has operated the facility on behalf of the County by
written agreement. The agreement requires approval from the County for
a number of activities, including admission fee increases.
The Coyote Point Museum has an extensive outreach program. Last year's
attendance was 108,983, a 10% increase over the previous year.
