The Cohanzick Zoo is a great little find, located in Bridgeton, NJ,
less than an hour from Philadelphia. While the zoo is small, it has
several interesting displays, and is located in a nice outdoor
setting, surrounded by woods.

I am a huge fan of the Cohanzick Zoo! Since I moved to this area in
1994, I have been visiting. Holly, the black bear and Ganesha the
white tiger are the highlights for me. But the menagerie is diverse in
this free zoo in Bridgeton. There’s lots to keep folks interested.

That’s how I found myself at the Cohanzick Zoo in southern New Jersey.
I live in Philadelphia, home to the nation’s oldest zoo, itself a
Victorian wonder built in the model of the European animal gardens
that started the whole public zoo craze.
