Maria, the Charles Paddock Zoo provides a unique selection of animals
on view; one you would not expect in this area of the Central Coast of
California. The zoo is just west of the junction of Highways 41 and
101 and sits next to Atascadero Lake and park.
The Charles Paddock Zoo is now offering Children's Workshops for ages
5-12. These workshops include hands-on activities, tours in the zoo,
games, crafts,
videos, and more. Each workshop will feature a different topic of
interest to young and old alike.
The Charles Paddock Zoo is involved in captive breeding programs as a
part of the worldwide Species Survival Program (SSP) efforts to
preserve endangered species.
Charles Paddock Zoo, Lake Park, Chalk Mountain Golf Course, and other
parks and shopping centers are great places to visit.
anniversary in 2003, the Charles Paddock Zoo is the home of rare
Indo-Chinese Tigers, Spider Monkeys, Meerkats, and many more unique
species. The Zoo is proud to be "Your Central Coast Conservation
Center" committed to wildlife conservation, education, and research.

The Charles Paddock Zoo is currently renovating and upgrading the
animal exhibits into more naturalistic habitats to assure the best
care and well being for our animals.
The mission of the Charles Paddock Zoo is to provide an educational
resource for wildlife awareness and conservation, and an enriched
recreational experience for the residents and visitors of the
California Central Coast.
