My first visit to the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park was seven years ago
while on my second date with my future wife. So, when we found
ourselves within an hour's drive of it we figured it was the perfect
spot to take our daughter.
The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is the fifth oldest zoo in the
country. Our collection includes over 120 animals covering
approximately 60 different species, with eight endangered species
represented. Our diverse collection allows us to focus on many
conservation and environmentally educational topics.
Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is operated by the Southern Tier
Zoological Society, a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing a
quality zoological facility for the purposes of conservation,
education, and recreation as well as the preservation and restoration
of Ross Park.
