Bellewaerde is a theme park in the West-Flemish countryside near Ypres
(Belgium).
Bellewaerde is the oldest operating theme park in Belgium. Originally
a zoo and safari, the park expanded in the early eighties to become
more of a general theme- and thrillpark, catering towards teens and
families.
operated Meli-Park in Adinkerke, Bellewaerde was sold in the early
1990's to the Walibi group which in itself became part of the Six
Flags Chain in 1998.

Bellewaerde Park is an amusement park in the southwest part of
Belgium. For the 2006 season, the park decided to extend its operating
season to take advantage of the Halloween and Christmas holidays.
Bellewaerde quickly settled upon a 4‑D show, because of the wide
appeal and relatively low installation cost.
For the 4‑D film itself, Bellewaerde went to Showscan.
At Bellewaerde, the heart of the Alcorn McBride system is a V16+ show
controller connected to an IO64 input/output module. The use of a
scriptable show controller means it's possible for non‑technical users
to change the theater timing if the show changes.

Volador, located at the Bellewaerde theme park, was the first
Topple Tower in the world to go into operation.

Bellewaerde Park has the plans for a custom designed Swinging
Suspended Vekoma, but they don't get the money from Six Flags.
