Alma Park Zoo is located north of Brisbane, Australia, in Dakabin on
Alma Road. The small 20-acre (81,000 m2) park is filled with
Australian and exotic species.
Alma Park Zoo was established in 196 as a native fauna reserve but
gradually changed its focus as exotic animals were obtained. The
present owners bought the zoo in 1981 and have continued to operate it
as a family business.

Alma Park Zoo in Dakabin, just north of Brisbane, boasts all kinds of
Australian animals as well as exotic species. Koalas, baboons, water
buffalo and wallabies are just some of the wildlife that roam the
grounds.
Alma Park Zoo received its first animal foreigners back in 1973. So,
home-grown roos (both red and grey), wombats, koalas and dingos can be
found together with baboons, buffalo and the amusing-looking sun bears
and - of course - the gregarious squirrel monkeys.
Alma Park Zoo is a great wildlife experience with Australian, exotic
and endangered animals. Set over 20 acres of tropical rainforest
gardens and picnic lawns it provides a great family day out.
Alma Park Zoo was the very first Zoo I had visited in Australia. There
were so much to see, and it was such an enjoyable experience. If you
love seeing animals, feeding them, patting some of them, then Alma
Park Zoo is perfect for you.
The only downside to Alma Park Zoo is that it is a relatively small
zoo, which means you cannot see the bigger animals such as elephants,
giraffes, tigers and such. Most animals in Alma Park Zoo are small,
such as monkeys and koalas.
Alma Park Zoo is perfect for people who wish to see animals and have a
quiet day.

rich reddish brown fur coat, a black striped tail and have a
raccoon-like white face.
